DAY 1 | KRABI – KOH KLANG
Pick-up from the Krabi hotel or Krabi airport and transfer to Tara pier (Krabi Town) and take local long tail boat to Koh Klang. Arrive at Koh Klang pier and transfer to the hotel by Tuk Tuk. Check in and free at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Koh Klang.
DAY 2 | KOH KLANG - KRABI
Breakfast and start your day with a Village tour. Board a Tuk Tuk heading to Klong Kam School for a visit and walk around the school area, meet the school children and watch the school activities. (Please note that the school is closed Saturday/ Sunday but the guests are welcome to walk around to see the school premise). Travel on to the Katik textiles group for a patae painting lesson with Grandmother Prajim Lekdum, and her team. Visit Klong Prasong and ‘One Tambon One Product (OTOP) Center’, where you will see a demonstration of how Koh Klang’s famous model fishing boats are made, by Mr. Sombun Manka, who inherited his craft from his father, a master boat-builder, known along the length of Thailand’s Andaman coast. Arrive at the ‘Farmer’s Group at Village’ and have a brief introduction to rice production and give it a try on traditional rice mortar and pestle and winnow.
Afternoon arrive at a seafood restaurant by Tha Hin pier to see ‘fish raising basket’ - the local way to raise live seafood. Observe a variety of sea animal and taste the island’s authentic Thai recipe at the restaurant. Explore and observe vibrant local life along the way back to Krabi hotel or Krabi airport (flight recommend depart Krabi after 17:00).
Note: Rice planting activity is available around September and rice harvesting from January- February
