Looking to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday the Greek Islands was our choice of a holiday destination. Wanting to experience a feeling of freedom felt many years ago backpacking with friends I began searching travel agents with local knowledge and luckily came across Mediterra Holidays.

We very much enjoyed the whole trip. The itinerary you suggested, the hotels, the jet ferries, and the pick ups and deliveries to our transportation were all excellent - with the minor trouble that a couple of times the ferry tickets did not arrive the night before as planned, but it was all handled satisfactorily in the end. All went off without a hitch, so thanks to you and your staff.

Athens and the Callirhoe were both grand - the staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. The Apanema on Mykonos was a wonderful spot, and the staff, especially Dimitrios and Giorgio(? - I think?) were very helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer! And the Andromeda Villas on Santorini was terrific - the view was worth it, and the staff was most helpful, even changing our room because my wife had trouble with all the stairs. The Olive Green in Heraklion was conveniently located and the staff there also friendly and helpful. So, all in all we had an easy and pleasant time, thanks to the planning done by your group. We are most appreciative. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Thanks again.

A big thank you to Mediterra Holidays for their excellent organization, great hotel selection and ease of contact as we planned and then executed our 10 day trip to Greece with 6 people. During the planning process my emails were answered overnight (time change). The hotels were all highly rated on Trip Advisor and were in excellent locations within walking distance to everything and with huge "we're going to be walking 15km today" breakfasts. Drivers and greeters met us at the airport and at each ferry port. They were friendly, professional and on time. I didn't have the time to do all the planning of transfers etc for this trip and Mediterra took the pressure off of me completely. Thank you Kemal.

I JUST POSTED THIS AS AN ASWER TO A QUESTION REGARDING MEDITERRA HOLIDAYS ON TRIPADVISOR: We traveled with Mediterra Holidays for two weeks in Greece (Athens, Mykonos, Santorini and Crete) and Turkey (Istanbul and Cappadocia, with hot air balloon ride included!). They helped us plan everything and it was great! Not one single thing went wrong. 1) Great on-time pickup and transportation service at the airports, seaports upon arrival, and transportation to and from the hotels in first-class luxury cars. Their driver would be ready for us with our name written on a sign, with the tickets in hand for the next trip. 2) Very good hotels, with exceptional locations in every city we visited! 3) Fast system of communication via e-mail. We could send them a question or a note at night, and the next day we would have an e-mail answer from them. While we were on the trip, the night before, they would send us a fax to our hotel room, telling us when to be ready for pick up the next day. Mediterra Holidays is totally recommended!

With your good service and prompt response, I thought I should take some time to compose a note for your company. Here it is and post it wherever you wish. It has already been posted on TripAdvisor in response to a lady's question.

Yes, we just completed our tour of Greece with them, three days planned in-land tour and two trips to the islands. Initially concerned about going with a company we didn't know, we have returned from the trip delighted and quite satisfied with their services. Briefly, four good reasons to choose this company:

1. Their on-time pickup and transportation service at the airports, seaports upon arrival, and transportation to and from the hotels in first-class luxury cars by very courteous and knowledgeable chauffeurs is unmatched.

2. Our tour guide, Katia, was a walking encyclopedia on Greece. I asked her if she had been a professor of history at one time in her life. She told me about her rigorous training as a guide and about her 30-yr experience in the business.

3. Their system of communication via e-mail or telephone is superb. Their alacrity and accuracy in communicating with us can't be matched. A) Prior to the trip, we would send them a question or a note at night, and the next day we would have an e-mail answer from them. B) In-country, the night before, they would send us a fax, telling us when to be ready for pick up the next day. C) At the seaports, their driver would be ready for us with the tickets in hand for the next trip.

4. We received quotes for the tour from three other companies before we chose Mediterra. They were substantially less.

Given our experience in Greece, I assume they would be even more accommodating in Turkey.

All in all, we have returned home immensely impressed and 100% satisfied by their excellent service. We will definitely use their service in other countries on our next trips.

Our trip went so smooth we received great service everywhere. We were very pleased with how efficient and on time everything was. From arrival to departure they did an excellent job and made our vacation worry free it was absolutely amazing. Our travel vouchers were at the first hotel when we got there and the next day a fax was sent over to each hotel about our pick up to the next island. We didn't have to make any phone calls asking for anything. It has hand delivered and on point. All the hotels that they picked were exactly as described. We did everything through email, it was a quick response and the easiest way to plan our vacation with the exact vision and budget we wanted. They made things very clear and visual and I would recommend if any one is traveling to greece that you must go with them even our seats that were picked on the speed boats were super. We had a wonderful time in Turkey thanks to you. The arrangements and itinerary you made for us were great. The beautiful and interesting places, delicious food, lovely people and, of course, the raki all made for a very enjoyable vacation. Your efficiency and attention to detail ensured that all went smoothly. The only thing I would have liked was to have been able to spend more time in Turkey. We even survived the heat!

The Dosso Dossi was a great choice for us. It is in a great location for walking to most of the major sights and attractions. The rooms were modern and clean, amazing breakfast with great coffee and a lovely, helpful staff. The only thing that bothered us a little were some abandoned buildings on the street when we were walking back to the hotel at night. The other hotels were also very good. All were clean, modern and had friendly and helpful staff. All the tour guides were knowledgeable and professional. We loved every place we went in Turkey.

The gulet cruise was a fabulous experience. Although we would have preferred a more modern boat and hot showers we had an amazing experience with wonderful people, beautiful scenery, swimming in the pristine Aegean Sea and delicious food. The captain could have been a little more informative, sometimes all of us, even the Turkish people, were not sure where we were. Smoking was the biggest issue for us. We realize smoking is more prevalent in Turkey than in the US but on the gulet it was difficult to avoid. Seven of 13 guests were smokers. Perhaps in the future there will be some smoke free gulets.

We would highly recommend both of you, Mediterra Holidays and a visit to Turkey to our friends. We are very grateful for all you did in arranging this wonderful holiday for us.

We completed our tour of Turkey yesterday on 11th September. Needless to say that the tour was well coordinated and we were happy. I would like to make some comments, which will help you in your future plans:

We think that we did not have enough time in Istanbul. The second day, the tour finished at 1 pm. Even then, we only had 2 ½ hours between the two important visits, Hagia Sofia Mosque and Blue Mosque. First the tour guide called Mehmet took us from the hotel and dropped a couple of other passengers to the Bosphorus cruise stop and then brought us to the Blue Mosque at 10 pm. Right here, one full hour was wasted. The visit of Blue Mosque lasted for 1 ½ hours and then we proceeded to Hagia Sophia Mosque from there which lasted for another hour. He did not even take us to an upper gallery. Instead, he took us to a carpet shop for carpet shopping which lasted for one whole hour, a total waste of time. This was not necessary at all. He should have spent more time in the two mosques. We just walked little distance through the grand bazaar and hardly saw anything in the bazaar. Your itinerary for day 3, 5th September included breakfast and lunch. The tour guide refused to give us the lunch. This is not right. I showed the guide the itinerary and requested him to call you, but he turned my request down.

The itinerary also included the visit of Hippodrome of Constantinople. This was never shown to us. He made a reference to this on the street but never showed it to us. Just for your information. We were a bit disappointed with the tour of Istanbul.

Overall, we liked the quality and service of the hotels, except the Dinler Hotel in Cappadocia. It was rated a 5 star hotel, but according to us and all other passengers, it was not a 5 star hotel. The hotel was very old one with very poor fixtures and service. I would rate it at 3 stars. I would highly recommend you change the hotel in Cappadocia in the future.

Our tour guide Onur and the bus driver Ahmet from Ankara to Kusadasi were very nice people. I liked the idea of one tour guide for 5 days, from Ankara to Kusadasi. I did not like two different guides in Istanbul on day two and day three. We liked the guide named Shakir better than Ahmet.

We appreciated the fact that on most of the days, you gave us breakfast, lunch and dinner, which many tour companies do not offer. That was great service on your part. Apart from the above issues I listed, the tour was an enjoyable tour and worth the money spent.

We just wanted to let you know that we very much enjoyed our trip to Greece. Everything went off perfectly and we wanted to give you some feedback.

Hotels at all destinations were very good, favourites were: Apollonia in Mykonos and Athen Status in Athens both very nice. In comparison the Splendor was older and more tired, and was a disappointed that we were not on the more picturesque side of the Island of Santorini, however it was within walking distance to Fira which was good. Our friends stayed at the Astra Suites and really loved that hotel so that might be something for next time if we go again.

All our transfers were very organized especially in Athens - tours and ferry etc was in an envelope waiting for us upon check in. Our reps in Mykonos and Santorini gave us our info except we had no info for transfer to airport so we had to get hotels to help us follow up on that, but as I mentioned, everything ran smoothly in the end.

We requested a quote on one itinerary, which was very satisfactory. We then adjusted the itinerary to suit our dates perfectly, and Mediterra accommodated all changes. They made recommendations for hotels in each destination, so we checked each hotel on Tripadvisor and made the final selections. Once our decisions were finalised, Mediterra made all reservations for us. All our queries were responded to promptly, and pricing very good.

Our tour commenced in Athens, then on to Mykonos, Santorini and finally Crete. We travelled by fast ferries between islands. We were notified by fax at each hotel about transfer details. Transfers were comfortable and in good transport. At each destination we were met by friendly, professional agents who provided us with the information required for our stay. Local tours were offered, and where chosen were terrific.

Our tour was fantastic ( Mediterra also seemed to have organised great weather!)

We especially loved the Mykonos View hotel on Mykonos, and Lato Boutique hotel in Heraklion, Crete.

We unreservedly recommend Mediterra, would definitely use the company again, and warmly thank them for our stress free, comfortable and interesting holiday.

We had a wonderful trip with your expert advice. We really liked our Diamond Hotel in Athens. The location was great and there were many good restaurants nearby. They had a great breakfast buffet and the staff were so helpful. We always had a packet of information about what to do and all of our drivers were great and on time. We enjoyed our three day tour of Classical Greece. The tour guide was excellent. We got to see great coastal towns as well as the ancient ruins. Ending our trip with three days on Santorini was wonderful. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and views from our hotel. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful with a great breakfast buffet. I booked through Mediterra for a 12 day trip to Greece in May 2015 which included a 4 day tour in Athens, Olympia, Delphi, and Meteora and 2 Islands (Mykonos and Santorini).
I was hesitant to book online at first as the office is in Istanbul (and I live in Canada) however, the service was EXCELLENT!
Transfer agents were always there to greet us holding a card with our names, as we got off the airplane or ferry and all other transfers were there within 2 minutes of stated times. We had a package at each destination with additional details and options available, and all of the hotels were well located.
I would absolutely recommend booking with Mediterra for a stress free holiday.
Olcay did a great job of finalizing all of the bookings, but I would also like to mention the great service provided with initial enquiries and tentative itineraries provided by Kemal, who patiently adjusted the details and provided information every time I had a question.
Thanks for organizing such a great holiday for us.

...Everything went like clockwork...

What can I say? From the moment we booked with this travel agent we have nothing but praise for them. They get back to you straight away with emails and nothing is too much trouble.

We had 18 days and they tailored the journey to fit in with what we wanted to see. I must have drove them crazy changing things but the changes were made without a fuss and we were offered a great deal on a three for one doing the balloons in Cappadocia, a Turkish dinner with belly dancing and the Whirling Devrishes.

We had many many pick ups transfers and tours and everything went like clockwork. They even email you during your tour to make sure everything is ok and give you a phone number you can ring if you have any problems. The highlight of our tour was the gullet from Fethyre to Marmaris and aso the ballooning but the whole tour was just amazing. Thank you Mediterra

Just a note to thank you for our amazing trip to Turkey. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and patient. Hafiz, a special thanks! One of the highlights was the optional hot air balloon ride at dawn. Turkey has many layers of history and photogenic scenery making it a tourist's dream. The Orient Express Hotel in Istanbul had a welcoming staff and the restaurant on the 7th floor had stunning views of the city at night. All of the hotels were excellent. It was a great tour!

Group of six travellers just returned home after a truly memorable holiday in Turkey and Greece. The part of Turkey tour was entirely handled by Mediterra, and we must say they do deliver first class service from the time of handling bookings to tours. Impressed with their fast and prompt replies to ALL of our enquiries before and during our Turkey tour.

The quality of hotel accommodation of YASMAK SULTAN is good except over a small issue regarding payment of TL5.00 for 4 days storage of our extra three pieces baggage. We didn't want to take them along with us to continue with the tour to Cappadocia and Izmir. The issue was immediately settled by our guide without any payment to hotel as customary practice.

We arrived in Cappadocia late into the evening and HAFIZ took the trouble and walked the extra mile to meet us in the hotel. Basically to make sure we were properly checked in and to introduce himself as our guide to our group. It was already 10.00pm at night!

The optional Whirling Dervishes' Ceremony in Istanbul was a disappointment with not much to write about. Just a group of white coated men whirling for good 45 mins show accompanied by singing of Islamic based songs and traditional music instruments. Probably could have opted for a belly show that would have spiced things up for the evening.

Must say for the entire trip of airport pick ups and hotel transfers all were on time, without exception.

We are happy and satisfied with their overall service, and would recommend Mediterra if you are planning a visit to Turkey.

I've been enjoying my trip very much...

I am here at Luxor Temple in the last stop on my Nile River Tour of the ancient ruins of Egypt which was organized by Mediterra Travel Agency. I enjoy my trip very much. They organize all of the transfers, the guide and all of the stops along the way. And everything moved smoothly, no complaints. We had a wonderfull cruise from Big Dam in Aswan and made several stops along the way.

All of them were interesting. I will encourage anyone to take a tour like this. Egypt is very safe place to be and we have no hassle. Along the way, they arranged a personel guide, Mohammed, who has done a wonderfull job of helping teach me about the culture and heritage of Egypt.
