Upon arriving Queen Alia International Airport or at land borders, you will be received by our meet & assist representatives assisting you on your way through immigration. Transfer to your hotel in Amman for overnight. (No meals)
Amman, Jerash, Umm Qays, Ajloun, Amman
We will head north for a full day tour to visit the splendidly preserved Greco-Roman city of Jerash. Then drive through the pine forests and olive groves until we reach the City of Ajloun dominated by the imposing fortress of Qalat Al Rabat overlooking the Jordan Valley. Next we will drive north of Jordan to Umm Qays (Old Gadara) dating back to 2nd century AD, colonnaded streets, amphitheaters, churches, temples and the vast Roman forum. From here you can view the Golan Heights and Tiberius Lake. Return to Amman for overnight. (Breakfast)
Amman, Madaba, Mt. Nebo, Mekawir, Kerak, Petra
We will head towards Madaba, the city of mosaics. This town has a long history, being first mentioned in the Bible and in the Mesha Stele when it was a Moabite town, visit St. George orthodox Christian church the mosaic Map of Jerusalem, Palestine, Jordan, Israel & Egypt. Then to Mount Nebo tour of the site of the Tomb of Moses. From here Moses viewed the Promised Land. There are ruins of 4th and 6th c. churches whose floors are still covered with marvelous mosaic. Continue driving via the Kings’ Road to Mekawir is the site of Herod’s Palace, where one tradition has it that Solomon danced and John the Baptist was beheaded. Visit the site of Herod the Great. Afterwards continue to Kerak, touring its castle (one of the finest examples of Crusader military construction). Then depart to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Petra for overnight. (Breakfast)
After breakfast, start exploring one of the Seven Wonders of the World with a horseback ride. Bilingual guides give a brief history of Petra. Visit the Treasury, city center, the Royal tomb, the theatre, the High Place of Sacrifice, the Roman soldier tombs and many others before returning to the Hotel in Petra for overnight. (Breakfast)
Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba
Head to Wadi Rum, the Valley of the Moon. Here you will find adventure and feel the romance of the Arabian Desert. Wadi Rum is like a moonscape of ancient valleys and towering weathered sandstone mountains rising out of white and pink colored sands. Upon arrival to Wadi Rum, a 2hrs jeep tour to explore Lawrence Road, visiting the most spectacular sights of Wadi Rum. You will be treated for a Bedouin lunch at Wadi Rum. Then we will drive to the Red Sea Resort City of Aqaba for overnight. (Breakfast)
Aqaba, Bethany, Dead Sea, Amman
After breakfast, head through Wadi Araba. Then along the shores of the Dead Sea to visit Bethany: the site of John the Baptists. Settlement at Bethany beyond the Jordan, where Jesus was baptized, has long been known from the Bible. Visit Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, and continue to Amman for overnight. (Breakfast)
Amman, Desert Castles, Amman
After breakfast, start your day exploring the east part of Jordan, the desert castles and palaces, built by the Umayyad Caliphs in the 8th century AD. They built these castles and palaces in the Jordanian desert in order to maintain the caravan routes and to secure the loyalty of Jordanian tribes. In addition, they built hunting lodges to enjoy horse riding, hunting and bathing. Visit Kharanah Palace, Amra Palace, Azraq Castle, and then transfer back to Amman. Overnight Amman. (Breakfast)
After breakfast, transfer to border to cross Israel. Arrive via Allenby Bridge. Meet & assist, transfer to your hotel in Jerusalem for overnight. (Breakfast)
Jerusalem & Bethlehem Tour
Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. Enter the Old City and walk through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road. See the Jewish Wailing Wall, the Kotel, and continue to the Christian Quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
Continue to Bethlehem for an overview of Shepherds' field; Visit the Church of Nativity and Manger's square. Overnight in Jerusalem. (Breakfast)
Biblical Highlights of North
Depart via the Coastal Road and the landscape of the lower Galilee to Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the Church of Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. Continue, via Kana, to Tiberias, the lovely resort town. Drive along the Kineret lake to visit Capernaum and view the ruins of the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught; Continue to Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of Fish and Loaves, located at the foot of the Golan Heights. Proceed to Yardenit, the famous Baptismal site where the Jordan River leaves the Sea of Galilee towards the Dead Sea. Drive to Tel Aviv and overnight. (Breakfast)
